Introduction to Panorama

Level
Introductory

Duration
2 days

Type
Instructor-led, classroom-based training. Students will complete hands-on labs throughout the course.

Prerequisites
Basic understanding of performance testing. Knowledge of Java and Java EE would be helpful, but not necessary.

Description
OPNET Panorama provides real-time performance analysis of complex applications (Java/.NET) by monitoring system and application metrics within each server and across all tiers. OPNET Panorama automatically differentiates abnormal versus normal behavior with advanced deviation tracking and correlation technologies.

Application developers and performance engineers use OPNET Panorama to gain valuable insight into historical and real-time performance patterns of business-critical applications. This enables IT staff to monitor thousands of application and system metrics proactively across multiple tiers, use these metrics to identify sources of performance problems or potential choke points, and thereby improve application response time and prevent application outages. Through labs and lecture, you will learn how to gain valuable insight into historical and real-time performance patterns of business-critical applications. This enables you to monitor thousands of application and system metrics proactively across multiple tiers to identify sources of performance problems or potential choke points, improving application response time and preventing application outages.

Agenda
