The IPv6 for R&D Specialized Model provides the ability to model several IPv6 features including: expanded addressing, dual stack implementation, RIPng, OSPFv3, IPv6 static routing, IPv6 tunnels, ICMPv6, and neighbor discovery. These features enable studies of IPv6 migration plans using different transition and studies of protocol enhancements. IPv6 model features include:
