6. For optimal performance, deployment on a 64-bit operating system is required. .
7. OPNET VNE server performance will improve with more available memory as network size increases.
8. Disks must be high-performance 10K or 15K RPM drives, SATA or SAS.
9. Front-Side Bus (FSB) / Quick Path Interconnect (QPI) speed affects the speed of data transfer to and from the OPNET VNE Server database; faster speeds will improve OPNET VNE Server performance.

VNE Server Data Storage

VNE Server is not designed and tested to use shared disks (via a network filesystem or SAN) for its data storage requirements (see note). For this reason, OPNET requires users to install VNE Server on local disk partitions. OPNET believes this restriction will provide our customers with both reliable and consistent performance.

Note: VNE Server's data storage requirements include but are not limited to (a) root installation directory, (b) data storage server directories, (c) temporary directory, (d) configuration archive directory, and (e) keystore directory.
