NOTE: Remote
access to the VNE Server console window is unavailable
under Windows 2000 Server when run under Windows Terminal
Services. OPNET recommends running VNE Server under Windows
Server 2003 if it is to be deployed on Windows Terminal
Services. Otherwise, users on Windows 2000 Server will
need physical access to the server's console for access
to the VNE Server user interface.
NOTE: VNE
Server will not operate on machines with the Intel
Itanium processor.
1 VNE server performance will improve with more available memory as network
size increases.
2 A dual-processor configuration is recommended if VNE Server and the
back-end Oracle database are to reside on the same platform.
3 Front-Side Bus (FSB) speed affects the speed of data transfer to and
from the VNE Server database; faster bus speeds will improve VNE Server performance.
