About the Integration

OPNET solutions integrate with the Alcatel-Lucent 5620 SAM through VNE Server®. VNE Server provides a comprehensive data model of the network and unifies topology, configuration, and traffic data obtained from disparate sources. Specifically, it imports detailed device configuration data through the SAM-O XML interface and combines this information with configuration data obtained from other vendor devices, as well as traffic and utilization information collected from the network and third party products. OPNET’s service provider solutions leverage this rich data model to build a behavioral model that accurately represents the real production network, to visualize, document, audit, engineer, and optimize the network.
