Dave Wetzel is the Senior Solution Marketing Manager for Cisco’s Network Management Technology Group. Dave is responsible for the global marketing campaign for the manageability of Cisco networks. His team defines NMS/OSS market strategy, and then works with the Cisco field, channels, and partners in the marketing of network management solutions for the various market segments. Since joining Cisco in 1995, he has held various product management, marketing and software development positions focused on network management, strategic partnerships and acquisitions.
Before taking on a marketing role, Dave was a senior software development manager where he worked in several of Cisco’s Business Unit’s. Dave’s development groups were responsible for the development and test of Network Management applications. Dave has over 20 years of experience in the Networking and Communications industry.
Dave is the author of several articles and technical papers. He has a B.S. in Computer Science from California Polytechnic University, SLO as well as a Masters Degree from Santa Clara University.
