New product release uniquely addresses prevalent application performance issue and delivers new support for virtualized environments
BETHESDA, MD –March 24, 2009 –OPNET Technologies, Inc. (NASDAQ: OPNT), a leading provider of solutions for managing networks and applications, today announced OPNET Panorama Release 6.0, with new capabilities for memory analysis and real-time memory leak troubleshooting. This latest software update also introduces new support for virtualized server environments.
Panorama provides real-time performance analysis of Java and .NET applications by monitoring system and application metrics within each server, across all tiers. Patented deviation tracking and correlation enable Panorama to automatically spot performance anomalies, dramatically accelerating troubleshooting and also detecting problems early, before they reach a critical state.
Memory leaks are common sources of performance problems in business applications, and are typically very difficult to detect and diagnose. Panorama 6.0 addresses this common performance problem for Java and .NET applications by detecting memory leaks in real-time. This new “always on” feature is delivered as a standard product capability. Other vendor solutions commonly require add-on modules that are run selectively in the event of a problem, and consequently are less effective in proactively addressing memory leak problems.
Panorama 6.0 also introduces new support for VMWare virtualized server environments, providing insight into physical resource consumption.
