OPNET Demonstrates Breakthrough Capabilities for Network and Application Analysis at DSEi Conference in London

LONDON, UK – September 13, 2005 – OPNET Technologies, Inc. (NASDAQ: OPNT), a leading provider of management software for networks and applications, is showcasing its latest network and application analysis solutions at the Defence Systems & Equipment International (DSEi) conference in London, UK.

OPNET introduced numerous technology breakthroughs last month at OPNETWORK ® 2005, its annual technology conference in Washington D.C., with over 1,800 attendees from 30 nations. DSEi, the world’s largest and fastest growing international tri-service defence exhibition, is the first large public forum outside of the United States for these demonstrations. Enhanced OPNET Netcop™ ™ solution, providing a 24x7 common operational picture of the production network, aggregated from multiple existing management systems and integrated with OPNET’s planning solutions.

Application analysis capabilities include:

A new Advanced Console module for OPNET’s ACE solution, which rapidly pinpoints the root cause of end-to-end application performance problems.The effects of network, system, and application issues are quantified, recommendations offered, and predictive testing provided to validate alternative solutions to problems.
OPNET’s Panorama ™ 3.0 product release, which provides real-time server-based analytics for J2EE/.NET applications. Panorama monitors thousands of application metrics to resolve production performance issues and to test performance prior to deployment.
