(NASDAQ: OPNT), a leading provider of management software for networks and applications, announced today the general availability of OPNET Release 10.5 of IT Guru, SP Guru, Modeler, and ODK products. This release also includes a new Report Server product, new Automation module, and new Distributed Agent Controller module.

OPNET 10.5 delivers a broad spectrum of innovative new features and products:
- New Report Server product, which provides a central repository for easily publishing and securely archiving reports generated by OPNET products; reports are accessible from a standard web browser.
- New Automation module, to automate network analysis and reporting tasks performed by OPNET solutions. Tasks can be scheduled to run unattended.
- New Distributed Agent Controller module which captures forensic information during the application performance monitoring process, supporting post-transaction root cause analysis.
- Enhancements in ACE module for profiling and analyzing the performance of enterprise applications.
- Enhanced support for Cisco Systems technologies, including Native IOS, Switch IOS, Cisco PIX AAA, and HSRP. Support for RADIUS, TACAS+, Kerberos, and Juniper firewall filters.
- Enhancements in NetDoctor module for network integrity and security auditing, including new rules based on industry and US Government benchmarks.
- Enhancements to OPNET’s Model Library, including firewalls, QoS, IPV6, MANET routing protocols, and Wireless LANs.
