Concord Enlists in OPNET’s Alliance Program

Alliance promotes integrated solution for end-to-end capacity planning and performance management

Marlboro, MA and Bethesda, MD – April 16, 2004 --Concord Communications, Inc. (NASDAQ: CCRD), an industry leader in optimizing IT services to drive business success, and OPNET Technologies, Inc. (NASDAQ: OPNT) a leading provider of management software for networks and applications, today announced Concord’s official enlistment as an Alliance Partner in OPNET’s Alliance Program. This follows Concord’s recent announcement of OPNET becoming a charter member in Concord’s new eHealth® Ready Partner Program.

As Alliance Partners, both companies will engage in sales and marketing collaboration promoting the technical integration between their respective solutions. End-users benefit by having the ability to visualize and analyze the production infrastructure holistically, with OPNET accounting for complex network topologies, routing/VLAN protocols, and security policies, and Concord providing the performance/workload overlay.

By importing network link load data from eHealth® into IT Guru, IT professionals who are focused on networked applications are empowered to more effectively:

  • Ensure the resiliency of the network infrastructure in the event of a failure
By importing server workload data from SystemEDGE™ into IT Guru, IT professionals who are focused on servers are empowered to more effectively:
  • Manage increases in user load and the effect on application response time
  • Consolidate server resources and/or data centers
  • ’Rght size' servers accounting for workload profiles of specific applications
