OPNET Announces Record Attendance and Industry Participation at OPNETWORK 2003

BETHESDA, MD– August 26, 2003 --OPNET Technologies, Inc. (Nasdaq: OPNT), a leading provider of management software for networks and applications, today announced record attendance and industry participation in OPNETWORK 2003, OPNET's annual technology conference.

OPNETWORK 2003 is being held this week in Washington DC at the Ronald Reagan building. By the end of the first day of the weeklong conference, over 1,200 people from corporate enterprises, government and defense agencies, service providers, and network R&D organizations had registered for the conference.

Conference attendees will have the opportunity to meet with OPNET's alliance partners in the OPNETWORK Partner Pavilion on Wednesday, August 27th. OPNET leverages data, technology, and real-time events from Alliance Partner products to enable application troubleshooting, network configuration auditing, network capacity and resiliency planning, application deployment planning, systems capacity planning, and network technology R&D.
