OPNET Leverages Citrix Business Alliance to Deliver First-to-Market Application Troubleshooting Solutions
BETHESDA, MD– August 25, 2003 --OPNET Technologies, Inc. (Nasdaq: OPNT), a leading provider of management software for networks and applications, today announced its membership in the Citrix Business Alliance™ (CBA) program at the Premier level. OPNET now supports performance analysis of applications running in a Citrix¨ MetaFrame XP™ Presentation Server environment.
Highlights of the new capability:
- Decode Citrix Independent Computing Architecture (ICA®) protocols to troubleshoot problematic transactions faster and more effectively
- Deploy Citrix MetaFrame XP Presentation Server applications "virtually" to analyze the impact on network utilizations
- Predict the scalability of Citrix-based applications
Alain Cohen, OPNET's President and CTO stated, "Many of our customers experience challenges in deploying distributed applications and implement Citrix technology to address them. However, without an ability to decode the Citrix ICA protocol, options for troubleshooting performance problems in mission-critical transactions are limited.
