OPNET's IT Guru 9.0 Captures "Best of Show" Award in Network Management at Network+Interop and COMDEX 2002 Atlanta

(Nasdaq: OPNT), the leading provider of Intelligent Network Management software, today announced that the company's IT Guru 9.0 solution has earned the prominent "Best of Show" award in the category of Network Management at the NetWorld+Interop and COMDEX 2002 Atlanta tradeshow.

The editors of Network Computing, CRN, VARBusiness, and EETimes, four of CMP Media's premier IT publications, review submissions and evaluate hundreds of new products before selecting finalists in 5 categories from over 100 entries. Based on this evaluation, IT Guru 9.0 was named Winner of the "Network Management" category
In taking first prize, OPNET's IT Guru 9.0 was recognized for its unique ability to isolate application performance and network configuration problems, and to predict the impact of changes under a wide range of scenarios. The product accomplishes this by embedding expert intelligence about how networked applications, routers, and servers operate. Users of previous versions of OPNET IT Guru have reported significant benefits including cost savings on bandwidth and equipment, and application performance improvements.
