![]() New Mitsui Subsidiary, "E3 Networks," to Expand Distribution Channel for OPNET Software in Japan BETHESDA, MD., -- April 19, 2001 -- OPNET Technologies, Inc. (Nasdaq: OPNT), the leading provider of intelligent network management software, today announced that its software will be sold and supported in Japan through a new, wholly-owned subsidiary of Mitsui & Co. Ltd. -- E3 Networks. OPNET announced an agreement with Mitsui in June 2000, which opened up new distribution channels for OPNET products in Japan. Mitsui spun off E3 earlier this month, after demonstrating successful sales growth and a strong relationship with OPNET. According to Mitsui, E3 was created "to respond quickly to expanding market needs." According to Mitsui, E3 will play an important role in Mitsui's IT strategy, and the company will aim to become the number one management solutions and services provider (MSSP) in the fast-growing Japanese IT management services market.
