Attacks

Proceeds to Directly Aid Victims & Families
BETHESDA, MD., September 21, 2001 --
OPNET Technologies, Inc. (Nasdaq: OPNT), the leading provider of intelligent
network management software, today announced a special fundraising effort
to assist the victims and families of last week's terrorist attacks in Washington,
D.C., New York City and Pennsylvania.
In urging company-wide participation, CEO Marc Cohen stated, "We
are very fortunate that OPNET employees and their families remained safe throughout
the tragic events of September 11th. This is a difficult time for many, and
our support can make a difference."
The company and its staff have pledged approximately $25,000
in contributions to two funds: the September 11th Fund, sponsored by the New
York Community Trust and the United Way of New York City; and, the American
Red Cross Disaster Relief Fund.
