OPNET Technologies Announces Next-Generation ERP Planning and Performance Optimization Software

(Nasdaq: OPNT), a provider of intelligent network management software, today announced the upcoming release of its ERP Network Assessment Module (ENAM), providing ERP administrators and IT managers with unprecedented predictive capability to prepare their IT infrastructures for successful ERP deployments. The announcement was made at OPNETWORK 2000, the company's fourth annual technology conference being held from August 28th through September 1st.

ENAM will be the next generation of OPNET's ERP NetworkGuru for SAP R/3. The software's new name reflects the fact that it can be used to optimize any three-tier ERP application, including systems from Peoplesoft and SAP. ENAM, an add-on module for OPNET's IT DecisionGuru software, will complement the company's Application Characterization Environment (ACE). The ENAM/ACE combination will enable OPNET customers to troubleshoot existing ERP systems quickly and easily by capturing live application data. ACE identifies likely causes of performance problems and offers recommended remedies.
