BETHESDA, MD – September 01, 2010 –OPNET Technologies, Inc. (NASDAQ: OPNT), a leading provider of IT Service Assurance solutions, this week announced AppDNA Xpert™, a new breakthrough solution for application discovery and mapping. The announcement was made at OPNETWORK, OPNET’s annual technology conference being held in Washington D.C., August 30 to September 2.
AppDNA Xpert mines data from OPNET’s application performance management suite, leveraging proprietary analytics to automatically create a detailed map of the application footprint.

OPNET demonstrated AppDNA Xpert for conference attendees. OPNETWORK attracts thought leaders from industry, government, and academic communities from all over the world to advance best practices for IT Service Assurance. Approximately 1,800 IT professionals from 34 countries registered for the event, which features more than 550 hours of presentations and hands-on training. Keynote speakers include Scott Chin, Chief Enterprise Architect for Major League Baseball and David Williams, Research VP with Gartner, Inc. In addition, more than 50 customer case studies from a broad range of industries were presented.

AppDNA Xpert will be available in the second calendar quarter of 2011 from OPNET.
