Inside Sales Representatives

Your responsibilities will be to generate leads and develop new clients for OPNET’s Professional Services Division. The selected candidates will assist the VP of Business Development and the AVPs of Professional Services in achieving bookings and revenue targets by acting as the first point-of-contact for prospects.  Responsibilities will include but not be limited to: 

  • Producing quality leads via cold calls
  • Initiating contact with corporate procurement departments to place OPNET on the bidder’s list for professional services opportunities 
  • Analyzing customer needs in terms of current business objectives
  • Presenting and articulating advanced product and services features, benefits, and overall solutions
  • Scheduling capabilities briefings for Division Managers
  • Developing and managing reference sites through high quality technical and professional client relationships
  • Engaging in regular monthly and quarterly business reviews and weekly forecast activities
  • Supporting the business objectives of program managers
  • Performing data entry into call-back system for lead sources, and other duties as assigned

Qualifications
We are seeking goal-oriented individuals with the desire for a long-term career in business development.  The successful candidates will possess an aggressive, professional, and take-charge style with the motivation for success.  Here’s what you should bring to the table:

  • BA/BS degree preferred with 2+ years relevant business/software industry experience
  • A proven track record of 1-3 years successful inside sales experience (IT services and software related a plus) to the commercial or federal government marketplace is desired
  • Exceptional sales skills (verbal and written communication skills, and proven negotiation techniques)
  • Knowledge of information technology (IT) industry (applications, networking, software products, markets, technology direction) desired
  • Ability to communicate with technical audiences
  • Must be motivated to have an impact on our services, products, our company, and the state of the art
