subject matter expertise, but prefer an
OPNET-owned and operated service delivery
model in accordance with a well defined
service level agreement.
OPNET supplies all required software
licenses including updates, server hardware,
and professional services staff to provide
a complete managed solution that can be
customized to suit any unique customer
needs. OPNET supplements its managed
services with on-site professional services
for in-depth network troubleshooting and
analysis, which can be provided on a part or
full-time basis.
Network Documentation, Diagramming
and Inventory Reporting
OPNET offers a Network Documentation,
Diagramming and Inventory Reporting managed
service to generate content-rich network
diagrams incorporating physical layouts and
detailed configuration information using
OPNET NetMapper software. OPNET provides
an updated network diagram and inventory
report that eliminates the need for manual
data entry and enables detailed logical views
of the network such as Layer 2-3, VLANs, VPNs,
OSPF and BGP. Diagrams are created in Microsoft
Visio® format and published to a report
server for easy access. The managed service
includes software licenses and updates, server
hardware, implementation and configuration,
remote solution management, and reports
published on a weekly basis. This managed
service is also offered in combination with
the Network Auditing, Policy Compliance and
Change Detection service.
Network Auditing, Policy Compliance
and Change Detection
OPNET offers a Network Auditing, Policy
Compliance and Change Detection managed
service to analyze an up-to-date model of the
production network and diagnose device configuration
errors, policy violations, inefficiencies,
and security gaps using OPNET Sentinel
software. OPNET performs automatic network
configuration audits using a library of over 750
rules that encompass industry standards for
various routing and security related guidelines,
and policies such as FISMA, Sarbanes-Oxley,
HIPAA, PCI, NIST, Cisco, NSA, and many others.
OPNET also detects and validates configuration
changes to ensure network integrity and security.

Unified Network Performance Visualization
and Event Reporting
OPNET offers a Unified Network Performance
Visualization and Event Reporting managed
service for real-time, graphical visualization of
heterogeneous production networks, including
devices and their interconnectivity, traffic,
events, and status using OPNET nCompass
software. OPNET unifies data from a broad
range of network devices and popular third
party management tools, providing consolidated
views and dashboards to accelerate
problem resolution and ensure service
availability and network performance. OPNET
monitors key performance indicators and provides
network event reports, device availability
and link utilization reports, and traffic trending
and capacity analysis reports. The managed
service includes software licenses and
updates, server hardware, implementation
and configuration, remote solution management,
and reports published to a report server
on a periodic basis. This managed service is
also offered in combination with the Network
Documentation, Diagramming and Inventory
Reporting service and the Network Auditing,
Policy Compliance and Change Detection
service.
Optional Professional Services
To supplement our managed services, OPNET
also provides professional services to troubleshoot
and identify the root cause of network
performance problems using our advanced
analytics-based solutions and best practice
methodologies. Network performance
troubleshooting and analysis is optionally
available on a part or full-time basis, and can
be performed onsite or remotely.
